Patterns, shapes, textures, and colours. These are constantly recurring themes for me. Fruit and vegetable markets are packed with all of those, in any direction you care to look. I sometimes wonder what the proprietors of market stalls or fruit shops think about the loony taking close-up pictures of their produce, but they always smile and let me get on with it. I like to think that they understand my interest because they also appreciate the same repetitive beauty, but more likely they think I must be a government inspector whom they need to be nice to.
