The most familiar everyday scene can become visually fascinating if you can just find a different point of view from which to observe it. This food court in a multi-levelled city shopping centre made me feel like a scavenging bird with a hungry eye on the scraps that might be left behind. I also like the visual echoes and counterpoint between the flattened shapes of the people, the food, the furniture, and the patterns on the floor.
